Peter Harvey, founder of
Eastern Healing, became interested in Chinese Medicine
after being successfully treated for his exercise
induced asthma. He began his training in Salt Lake City,
Utah as an apprentice in a private practice specializing
in sports injuries and women’s health issues for three
years. Upon leaving Salt Lake he traveled to China with
his teacher Dr. Kris Justesen for advanced training in
more serious illnesses such as the treatment of strokes.
Peter Graduated from the Midwest College of Oriental
Medicine, Summa Cum Laude, in Chicago, IL with a Master of Science in
Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is a board certified
Licensed Acupuncturist (NCCAOM) and a member of the
Illinois State Acupuncture Association (ISAA). Peter
also holds an MBA in marketing from Dominican
University. Peter’s area of specialty is in
the treatment of
infertility and
has been featured on Channel 7 News.
His other areas of interest are in women’s
health and injuries both sport and work, and general
types of pain. Peter has been trained in several types
of acupuncture styles Traditional Chinese, Auricular
(Ear), Meridian, and Scalp to enhance treatment
effectiveness.
